Walking in the footsteps of their Vodka brethren, Bourbon, Scotch and Whisky suppliers have jumped on the flavored band wagon too. Dark spirits are now being infused with everything from coffee, ginger and bacon. The most popular flavor of whisky, however, seems to be honey. In a recent quarterly Shelftrac study, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey was stocking in 80% of outlets with an average of 2.6 facings per store. Wild Turkey American Honey also showed impressive stocking numbers – 70% stocking with 2 facings per store. In third place of brands observed in the study, Bushmill’s Irish Honey garnered 50% stocking across sampled stores and showing 1.4 facings on average.
