OnTrac is our annual on-premise syndicated service that provides stocking, pricing and merchandising information at the brand level, by market, type of account and within leading hotel and national chain concepts.
OnTrac is a multi-category service covering Spirits, Wine and Beer and has unique metrics tailored specifically to each category.
OnTrac is executed each August with exceptionally broad coverage – 30 metro markets and roughly 1,500 outlets. Segments covered include: Fine dining, themed/casual restaurants, bars/taverns, hotels, and national chain concepts.
OnTrac provides critical market-level stocking information on your brands and those of your competitors. The study highlights distribution opportunities by market and segment type as well as identifies price gaps between brands. Menu features, signature drink placement and tabletop point-of-sale help to measure retailer support and consumer drivers for brand selection.
Spirit metrics: Stocking %, stocking location (back bar, well, speedrack), brand mention on the food menu, wine menu and table tent, signature drink feature, drink price, and presence of manufacturer POS.
Wine metrics: Stocking %, availability by the bottle and by the glass, price by the bottle and by the glass, brand mention on the food menu, wine menu and wine board, and presence of manufacturer POS.
Beer distribution metrics: Stocking %, stocking by bottle/can, by draft, brand mention on the food menu and drink menu, visibility – product displayed on bar/back bar, and presence of permanent and temporary manufacturer POS.
Beer pricing metrics: Promoted (happy hour) and Non-promoted draft price by glass size (10oz, 12,oz, 14,oz, 16oz, 18oz, 22/23oz, 60oz, other); 12oz Bottle price for “Premium” beer, “High end” beer, “Other” price point, “Malternative” and “Micro/Specialty price.
