Promotrac is our quarterly in-store display tracking service designed to provide competitive merchandising information within chain and independent outlets across 25 metro markets.  Promotrac has been providing the industry with accurate, timely display tracking for 25 years.


Promotrac regularly visits a panel of 900 retailers the week before the key holiday of the quarter to observe and record.

  • Incidence of brand-level display
  • Product size being promoted
  • Number of cases in display
  • Price on display
  • Location of display – main entrance, primary endcap, in-aisle, or other secondary location
  • Presence of manufacturer POS


Promotrac is conducted during the months of March, June, September and December.


Participation in Promotrac is for selected brands or key competitive sets and may be by annual subscription or on a per-quarter basis.
